I am Emily, illustrator, letterpress printer, and the founder of La Fleur Paper Company.

I was born and raised in Orange County, California, and some of my earliest memories are in my grandmother’s garden, digging in the dirt, watching things grow, and learning to appreciate beauty in the everyday. She dabbled in painting and several other artistic mediums as a hobby and passed along her love of nature and creativity to me. That early influence shaped how I see the world and how I approach design today.

La Fleur was born from a conviction long held; that life’s most cherished occasions deserve to be marked with something of enduring beauty. Inspired by antique correspondence, old-world botanicals, and the quiet luxury of things made entirely by hand, I create suites that feel as though they belong to another era, and to no one else but you.

Every illustration is drawn by my hand. Every suite is printed upon my in-house letterpress. Every piece of cotton paper is chosen as much for how it feels as for how it looks.

La Fleur welcomes a small number of couples each year. Intentionally. Because work of this nature asks for time, and time is precisely what makes it extraordinary.
